I am 30 pages into a 70 page eBook and I have formatted and edited the text with illustrations in landscape. The companion eBook is 70 powerpoint slides with brief notes - in portrait - both published in PDF and if anyone wants the slides in powerpoint, they will be available for a small fee.

Am I making a mistake in having the layout for the text book (which is the main effort with lots of notes) in landscape? By the way, I love your tips and will certainly be embodying some of them into my new books.

If you do go ahead and get an ear pierced, definitely, definitely, do both ears. The one ear thing is very 90's. Both ears is more bad ass these days. Then be sure to update your profile pic ;)

So good, it's the first blog post I've ever promoted on my personal facebook page. I was about to close the browser on your web-site and this one post which I happened to open and read, pulled me in.

I'm just starting on my first ebook and this is exactly what I needed. This is the best guide I've read so far, damn I have a lot to learn. Interesting point about bullets, maybe I'll make mine little ties instead haha. Now just need to make a kickass cover.

[...] Word spreads fast about people with that kind of confidence, because we want to be near it and we all want to have it ourselves. The biggest reason I think we “buy Guy” is because he’s an approachable authority. Lots of people are authorities in their niche, but it takes a special blend of authority, authenticity, and personality to be “one of the guys” without sacrificing your authority. I believe Guy has accomplished this. He’s clearly an authority on his topic, yet is still willing to engage with his audience, respond to e-mails, and build relationships.~ Logan Zanelli [...]

Regarding saying "YES" to opt-in forms on websites, there is so much fabulous free stuff available everywhere you look on the internet, that to cause an interested party even a nano-second's pause trying to sort out what they have to do to get what they want from you, is just shooting yourself in the foot ... twice. They can move on and know they're find something else interesting on the very next website.
Inviting. Easy to Understand. Super Accessible. It's gotta be that.

I got people to sign my mailing list by engaging with them, and talking to them while carrying a clipboard. Then, I sent them emails with just the link to "like" me on facebook, and the majority of them did. Great article, I'm going to keep it in mind!
